Veterinarian – Christina Riffle-Yokoi, DVM
Dr. Christina Yokoi grew up in the Gold River suburb of Sacramento, CA, and knew from a very young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She temporarily relocated to Southern California to attend the University of California, Irvine and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences in 2010. After completing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Yokoi attended the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her veterinary medical degree in 2014. After graduation, she moved back to the Sacramento area to be closer to family and has been working locally as a small animal practitioner since then. Dr. Yokoi has a special interest in senior pet care with the goal of keeping them as healthy, happy and comfortable as possible during their golden years. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Yokoi spends most of her time with her exuberant Rat Terrier mix named Rufio and her husband Danny. Her hobbies include playing soccer, bingo and pickleball, traveling and enjoying good food.
Veterinarian – Chloe Dillion, DVM
Veterinarian – Jelline Vautier, DVM
A northern California native, Dr. Vautier (pronounced “Vo-Tee-Yay”) grew up in El Dorado County and graduated from UC Davis in 2015. After graduation, she moved to Kentucky to start her veterinary career, then to Georgia. While she originally focused on large animal medicine, she started working with small animals after moving back to California in 2018. Dr. Vautier loves working with the people in the community to help their pets lead healthy, happy lives.
Dr. Vautier has three children who keep her busy with swimming lessons, horseback riding, and year-round sports activities. She also has a long-haired standard Dachshund named Bentley.
Dr. Vautier works at the Folsom Animal ONE hospital on Fridays and Saturdays.
Richard Bennett, DVM & Medical Director
Dr. Bennett brings decades of small animal medicine experience to his role as Medical Director. He earned his DVM from Michigan State University and formed and managed Animal Health Network in San Francisco for 13 years. He then served as Chief of Staff for a veterinary practice in the Sacramento area. Dr. Bennett has given a great deal back to the profession. From 2004 to 2010 he consulted for the CA Veterinary Medical Board, developing training for the state’s enforcement and hospital inspection programs, handling consumer complaints, and testifying as an expert witness on California’s Minimum Standards of Practice. He is also an advocate for tending to patients’ emotional and physical health by using low stress handling techniques.
